FAMILY RELATIONSHIP DYNAMICS
Family relationships can be a source of great joy. They can also be a source of conflict and pain. It is normal and natural to go through difficult periods with the people you love most—this is especially true when life throws curveballs your way.
Role reversal can be common with aging parents and their adult children. It can be very hard for parents to accept that their child is caring for them and making decisions about their life. These life shifts can result in conflict, resentment, and tension. I can help families by validating both parties, working on communication, and developing plans where each person feels their needs are met.
